USMLE finished only 15%RX ,is it ok if now i switch to Uworld?

Hi,friends..i am new here.really great to join this forum..btw, i am preparing for step 1 and now concentrating myself with usmle rx...i am still 7 weeks left from my exam date..i need some advice...i have done only 15 % of my RX and i usually got 50-65% (they are very hard) and surely i am quiet desperate about this..i am a slow learner..and usually do 1 block 46 questions per day..so,i am quiet afraid that i will not able to finish uworld, is it a good idea to switch to uworld now? Please help..thx u

If you are 7 weeks from your exam, you should switch to Uworld.

Uworld is going to kick your butt hard, getting 50% on Rx tells me you'd be lucky to finish Uworld twice in this next 7 weeks.

The people that can go through 3/4 blocks in the morning, usually don't get very many wrong, so it's not time consuming to review.

Now if you try to do 100 questions, and get 50 wrong, that sounds like a whole days worth of work...

So, to answer your question, no, it's not okay, but you don't have any choice now.

Definitely switch to uworld now. I did rx before uworld, and I find uworld ques to be slightly easier since they are better written. Percentage wise is the same for me on both qbanks.

I did Rx a while ago and recently finished Kaplan. I think UWorld explanations + diagrams are bringing a whole new level of learning into the fold. I'd switch over.

You're wasting your time! Use UWorld. Do it a few times and you're golden.

Yeah, switch. I think it is beneficial to do both, but if you are realistically looking at only being able to finish one qbank, then UW it is.

For those who completed Rx and then did UWorld, did you find that you are able to review/annotate faster with UWorld after having done review/annotation from Rx?

no, because Rx offers very little information to annotate. you should barely be annotating anything with Rx. UWorld has much more information & better explanations, diagrams, etc which require more time to annotate if you need that.

i'm currently at 35% Rx now with 8 weeks out. I plan to start Uworld next week.

Uworld is more conceptual, Rx is more detail orientated.

Thx u, friends...really glad to have all of your input...i am planning to have Nbme first to gauge myself and then start my uworld then..btw, any advice which nbme should i take for now? Because i am planning to have another 2 nbme if i have time.... Thx u very much 🙂
