just finished with the test....PHEW!!!!!!!!!!
PAPER was pretty reasonable
not very tough i would say....
hardly anything from unreleased
some q's were from released just few i would say
n mostly were not direct
basic knowledge of the subject was necessary to solve the paper ....that's what i gathered .....
yup q's did come from the pilot paper 2004
also ,i wont say unreleased papers didnt help me ...they did in a way coz to do them i tried to a lot of search on net...n USMLE books...that really paid off in the test.....but soem i did so silly mistakes 😱
cant help....solved some very difficult....n did wrong some very easy
just scared about the results now......
my paper went like
biochem/physio>anatomy>DA>micro/patho
anatomy paper was good...
q's on broca's area
too many q's on nuclei of nerves
do neuroanatomy...q's have been pooping up!!!
insertion of nerves!!!like stylohyoid, lateral pterygoid[2-3 q's in different form]
southern blot---DNA
biochemistry
q's on metabolism ....20-30
glycolysis,cori's cycle, TCA cycle
gluconeogenesis ,fatty acid degradation...
phsio of gastic n renal had many q's
also cardiac but nt much difficult
i think i knew max in biochem.... 🙄
strange......i thought that's my weekest...well what i think is they didnt want u too study too much detail in biochem basically u shd know main enzymes in each cycle ..n mechanism of action and
do minerals n vitamins ...direct q's were asked
micro patho
i think i knew most of them ...but because of anxiety and confussion did some wrong.... 😱
very different diseases
they were so many from step up usmle ...but cud nt recall actual much ...coz i didnt revise that
i think y i screwed up that part coz i did too much of extra n last moment i cudnt even remember some basic things ....that i wud advise to others not to do....in paper there are more basic q's then very difficult
remember that
well now DA
i actually dont know how it went
there was nt even a single q on movements 🙁 ...i thought i cud do better in those q's neways
so many q's on mandibular first molar
i think that's becoming fav of NDBE ....coz of my friend got too n one got on maxillary first molar
i had around 15-20 q's on this tooth...study morpho in deatil...wheeler's would help....those who find difficulty in understanding wheelers...ther's one book in barne's n noble on morpho ..that's very simple n very clear...i think in some instance better than wheeler's ..but it depends on individual...
i had sooo many q's on premolars...i think 20--30
like one of maxillary 1st
which has 3 roots? ans maxillary premolar!![[im talking about in premolars]]]
another q if 3 roots.....then how are they distributed?????
answer is facial --2 and lingual--1
n some more like that....
there were so many related q's with each other
also many q's on muscles of mastication
there was on q on posselt's envelope ..very different then what we see in our books...i knew from my frieends that q coming on posselt's enveope are very different ..so i tried b4 to look that on net for some explanations...but didnt find any....just lay stress on that ...coz everoen is getting one q on this..n very different
i had something related with anterior guidance in that...dont know did wrong or right
also
had many q's on cusp fossa relations in class 2 n class 3
like which cusp goes into which cusp fossa in another arc ..in class 2 class 3 relations...very conceptual
i uesd to do right when i did these q's in practice at home....but dont know did right in the paper....bcoz i d anxiety at that time.......
very few things from released one 's ...so dont really know i was right in solving or just guessed 😡
now i can just wait n see who my result goes....
hope all those who have test soon do well....bottom line is paper is n otcoming tough just more conceptual so keep ur head cool ....if u know the subject u 'll just do fine ...
good luck to all :: 👍
