I took the DAT yesterday. I couldn't sleep the night before, and I was pretty nervous before the test. I think I was lucky when I took the test. I saw a question in the Bio section that I would never have known the answer to had I not crammed on the anki's flashcards the day before. I scored at 96.4 percentile on the QR which I thought was a lot like the Math Destroyer instead of the 2009 Sample Test which was literally impossible.
Also I was blown away by the level of security in the testing center. They check your pockets each time you go in, and scan you with a metal detector. You also need to sign in and out with a fingerprint scan. The staff was very professional, and it was really quiet. I think the test fees are actually reasonable given the system they put into the place.
The PAT section was virtually indistinguishable from the CDP software. I was expecting it to be like the practice tests, but even the cube counting was the same especially with the weird lines that doesn't align sometimes. I used KBB, Examkrakers BIO, Cliffs, Organic Chem as Second Langauge I and II, MCAT Hyperlearning BIO, DAT Destroyer, Math Destroyer, CDP, and a bunch of old DAT sample prep tests from the 90s and 80s. In retrospect, I should have relied more on the flashcards found on the SDN for the Bio instead of the MCAT stuff, but it turned out well.
