Is it a bad sign if you are finishing the MCAT sections with plenty of time left?

I did AAMC 3 and had a lot of time left. I had like 30 mins left on Verbal, so I just went back and corrected what I felt was not the right answer. I managed a 10 in it

Would you recommend just marking the questions and going back to them later to use the spare time?

No one cares about your timing as long as you do well. If you can utilize more of your time and do better, then finishing early is definitely not a good thing.

Finishing early is not a bad thing, but not using the extra time to check your answers is a bad idea. On my real test, I finished PS and BS 15 minutes early. I used that time to review my answers and spotted around 2 mistakes in each section.

This may be personal issue, but I think spending more time on first attempt to answer the questions are better usage of time than going back to check answers. Again this may apply only to me, but when I recheck the answers, I feel more arrogant about my choices and tend to miss some incorrect reasoning in my first choice.

If you're making careless mistakes, spend more time on each question reading carefully.

I always finished my VR like 20 min early but on the real deal i barely made it with a min to spare or so, so just use the extra time to review but you may not have that time on test day itself.

I always finished PS and BS with a ton of time on practice. On the actual MCAT, I was taking more time with my calculations and just double checking as I went.

In my opinion, no matter how well you prep, you'll act a bit differently on the day of your test because the reality of how important it is sets in. So no, I wouldn't worry about extra time, you'll probably naturally use it up on the real thing due to nervousness and being extra careful.
