Firecracker for Step2?

Do to a less than ideal score on Step 1, I was told by my dean that I need to get over a 240 to stand a chance matching in the field I want. I wanted to be as well prepared as possible for next June when I take it; would doing firecracker throughout the year be useful in terms of that? I really want to make sure I do well so I am willing to put in the time necessary to pull it out.
