Fired from job

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I am pretty sure the background checks are only for criminal records. I doubt pharmacy schools look into your job history to the extent that they would find out if you have ever been fired or not. However, I am sure schools could inquire if they felt they needed to. I do not know from experience, so I am only assuming here.

I do not think it should be included unless the reason that you were fired was because of criminal act, otherwise it is ok not to mention.

It was not criminal at all. There were a series of miscommunication b/w my supervisor and I because my emails were going to his junk mail. Long story short, i got fired and I am worried the schools I applied to will see this and it will negatively impact my application.

Background check envolves you criminal history. Your job history is safe. Plus don't worry it was miscomunication that you lost your job, not to hard to explain.

Just don't put him down as a reference :d Criminal background check shows all the addresses you've lived in and all the states you are considered a sex offender.

When you apply to pharmacy schools and when they do background checks on you, do they find out your work history/if you have been fired from a job?

It's unlikely it will be a problem but when u graduate and go looking for a job it can haunt u depending on the reason u got fired like if u stole, drugs, etc that can prevent u from getting hired especially if pharmacist demand is low with alot of job seekers. I would think about the present and not what if's in the future.

As long as it's not what you are criminally penalized for like what the others said above, you will be fine.
