Did the 2012 First Aid have an exorbitant number of errors simply because it was a brand new beast (Color, and all that), or should I be expecting to dedicate as much time to correcting the 2013 version?

I suppose this question is mostly directed toward individuals who took Step 1 two or three years ago, and so had to transition from the 2010 to 2011 version, or 2009 to 2010, etc... You know, that population of people that has absolutely no reason to read this forum.

out of curiosity - how long did it take u to fix the errors? i started and yes it's been pretty grueling, just curious how much longer to expect 🙁 it's like hey, why don't you go buy a book and then set aside a few more hours to fix it. opportunity cost, damn it.

yeah these errors are absolutely egregious. when you have that many editions you should not have errors that are so exorbitant. I found some that were so outrageous (e.g., vitamin D stimulates bone break down) that I completely lost faith in First Aid. I also don't think it's a particularly good book.
