Step II First aid for Step 2

How many people thought First aid was very helpful for Step 2? I used First aid for step 1 and it helped.

I liked it. Not everyone does.

Not as essential as it was for Step 1: Step 2 Secrets and Boards & Wards are two popular alternatives.

I thought FA was great, if you liked it for step 1 then you will most likely feel the same way about this one. used FA + UW, nothing else, did well.

I like FA more than Board and Wards. However I read both and also Secrets. I like the layout of FA. Also, when I was practicing on USMLEWorld, I found it much easier to go back to FA and look up something than using B&W. FA is also more comprehensive. The highlighted areas on FA also right on the target.

FA in my opinion is not as good for step 2 as compared to step 1. I would recommend Secrets as it is much better layed out and is avery smooth read with thousands of key pearls we will need to know for the boards. Incoporate that with your UW questions and you should do fine.

I agree. I felt like FA was too dense. Crush and Secrets were much more to the point and layed out better for a quick review/read.

first aid for step 2 ck is awesome, combine that with UW explanations and mcqs, and Kaplan notes with audios, and you have a very winning combination....
