What do you guys think of this book: http://www.amazon.com/First-Aid-Bas...8910&sr=8-1&keywords=first+aid+organ+systems?

The reviews on the site seem generally favorable, the integration of different subjects (anatomy, physiology, clinical presentation, etc) is something I haven't seen in other books but the only downside is the huge number of errors. Nonetheless, the FA team has provided an errata. So what do you think? Or is a combination of Robbins/Goljan + Medscape a better combination?

Considering that time and time again it has been proven you can get 220+ fairly easy using only FA + Uworld, w/e extra you choose you use is your choice.
I am an utter resource ***** and I still would never use this book.

There are so many other resources for organ systems which give you more bang for you buck I couldn't even see a reason for the existence of this book.
(I could understand maybe thinking about using the Basic Science one)

Ooops, yes...that's what I was thinking. Now you have me curious...what's this organ systems?

I used FA Organ Systems in MS1 (integrated systems curriculum is a bummer). It generally provides enough material without being overwhelming word vomit. The diagrams and images are nice. It has a clean layout and meshes well with how systems are taught at my school (anatomy, embryo, physic, path, pharm). It's like someone sat down and, using FA as an outline, filled in the gaps. The content was nearly identical to the Kaplan lecture notes I checked in one module (GI, maybe) . As for the errors, I think that was blown out of proportion to some extent. The first edition is crap. I had an electronic copy and it was sloppy, poorly laid out, and had some errors. The second edition is much improved in terms of errors AND layout. As with most books in the FA series, it's overpriced.

However, keep in mind that my opinion is based on using this as a textbook rather than a test prep book. YMMV depending on your use.

Oh, one more thing: they used the cheapest paper imaginable. While this does keep the weight of the book down, it makes it difficult to highlight without it bleeding EVERYWHERE. Just something to be aware of.
