I've read that putting first aid in a binder and using it to study during MS1 and MS2 are useful to study for the boards so you don't instead cram and have to try and finish the book 4-6 weeks before the exam. What's the exact way you study using this method however? I know that hardcore studying for the boards won't obviously start until 2-3 months before the exam but by putting it in a binder do people just add their own notes as their taking MS1/MS2 courses or something?

Same way you study using the FA book still in its binding.. except you can add pages of notes and take out pages so they're on a flat surface when you annotate.
