I'm taking Step I in February 2005. My copy of FA is the 2003 edition. Anyone know how much FA changes with each edition? I've already started outlining and making flashcards with the 2003 edition, and would prefer not to switch. However, if the material is that much different, I guess I have to. Any thoughts?

Hello:
I've got the 2001 Ed. of FA. Since my job this summer left me with scads of free time, I actually went to a B&N, sat down at a table (or floor, depending) and copied into my old edition all the new stuff from the 2004. Certain sections of my 2001 were missing a lot, but others were missing hardly anything. I'm certain that if you compare your 2003 with the 2004 you'll find that you're not missing much and, if you can spare an hour and a half -- try what I did. And I actually learned quite a bit in the process (though in retrospect, it wouldn't have been so bad to cough up the $35 and buy the 2004). doh!

😳
