First Aid Q&A, along with Picmonic?

Hey guys,

I've had some of my classmates buy this book, but they seem ambivalent towards it. If it means anything, I'm a M1.

I was wondering if you guys had thoughts on it as a long term Step 1 prep tool to be used alongside courses?

p.s. what do you think about using Picmonic alongside classes other than Microbio (Sketchy Medical) instead?

My opinion is M1 is too early to start thinking about Step 1. If you are buying these things to help with your classes exclusively then I say go for it. First aid is typically a second year thing though because it assumes you have more knowledge than you most likely have at this point.

I personally liked having first aid as a study aid in first year, but mostly after first semester when we started organ systems. I have picmonic, it's pretty good, I mostly use it for pharm.
