The purine salvage pathway diagram on p. 160 of FA (2004 ed) differs from the one in Lippincott's on p. 350 (2nd ed).

Am I missing something in my understanding of the pathway? Please help clarify.

As long as you know HGPRT and the two reactions that use xanthine oxidase, you should be fine for purine salvage.

edit: also PRPP, of course...often the cause of gout/uricemia in overproducers.
