first aid too concise

dear friends, I just graduated in Italy and I'm trying to get ready for the usmle step 1. I bought "first aid to usmle step 1" because I tought it was the gold standard, but I found it too concise. Fact is I studied those subjects 4 years ago and I need something more extensive, but I don't have time to read again all the books I used when I took the exams during med school.
I found many books like "usmle road map: subject", "appleton and lange review" and so on. Any suggestions?

get a hold of the kaplan step 1 series and goljan patho. and then follow it up with first aid.

that should be enough. and ofcourse uworld.

Yes. subscribe to USMLE world and start working through it, it's a great learning tool as the explanations to the questions are great.

Kaplan is good, but i've found it to be really really heavy and long. Honestly , Goljan rapid review pathology + audio lectures, coupled with BRS physiology and First Aid are more than enough prep for step 1. good luck.

The back of that first aid book has reviews for longer review books that still aren't full texts as well.

thanks for the advices. could you be more specific? which kaplan book are you refferring to? "medEssentials for the USMLE Step 1" or something else?
