I had a question about the application process. I've been reading some posts and I seen reference to being apart of the first batch of applications sent out or the second batch. Can anyone explain that to me. I plan on submitting my application when it first opens but how do you know if you are apart of the first batch or not. Is there a difference between tmdsas and addsas or are they the same? Thanks for any information you can give me on the topic.

AADSAS and TMDSAS are two separate application services for two different sets of schools (the latter for Texas schools, and the former for the others nationally).

If you submit an application as soon as it opens, you'll definitely be first batch. But it's not as if being second batch vs. first batch would make any difference at all.

is there something on the application that tells you weather or not your apart of the first batch or not? some peoples post made it seem like there was a way to distinguishing what batch you were in?

The date that AADSAS sends out your application to the schools lets you know what batch they're in. They send them out on certain days only.

To be more specific, the first mailing date for this year was 6/27 if my memory is right. And then the next one was somewhere in mid-August?? If you call AADSAS to ask when the first mailing date is, they will tell you. Make sure you send your app in before then.

whatever you do, please refrain from using 'apart' in your personal statement.
thank you

Whats the advantage of the First batch? does it increase your chances?

UCLAZY you obviously have too much time on your hands if you’re searching through the forums for grammatical errors. Thank you

you're right...i take it back. use apart as many times as you like!

one less applicant for me to worry about competing with.

Your posts are very confident.
By the way, which schools did you get into??

AADSAS "mails" (electronically sends) applications that are completed on a weekly basis. First batch = First week, second batch = second week, etc. I was like 4th or 5th batch and I had 10+ interviews. I would say anything June or July is early.
