So I've just started my peds rotation, and the first day they gave us "First Exposure Pediatrics" (Lange) by Joseph Gigante. I checked and it's been out for over a year, and there were two other First Exposure books that came out this January. I was just wondering if anyone had used any of the books in this series and what they thought of them.

No idea, I haven't started 3rd year yet....

Anyone else have any experience with the First Exposure series?

I actually haven't done my IM rotation yet, saw FE to Internal Medicine today at the bookstore and have been thinking about picking it up, or at least dedicating some time at the cafe to read the important sections...

It doesn't look useful enough to use much after one or two reads, and definitely not useful as a fourth year, but I was thinking that some of principles discussed would help me figure out what to do when a problem presents itself: they focus more on physical presentations and what to do than on specific diseases.

Any thoughts?
