Hey everybody-
Just some insight, I had my first interview already on thursday, I happen to be in FL, doing a rotation so i asked USF if i could interview before i leave in a week and they said sure. Although it was not the normally strucutured day, because i was the only one interviewing, i got a decent idea about the program and the hospital. In the am i went to morn report and then rounded with a team, which is not a typical day, and then the chief showed me around the hospital, my interview was at 1:30.

The PD asked me 2 questions:
1- why do you want to come to USF.
2- what are your goals.

He then said do you have any questions. I had a bunch prepared. He answered them and ended up talking more than i did, and that was it. Overall i thought it went well. I liked the hospital, and the program seemed like a nice balance between busy and having good teaching and didactics, that is really what i am concerned with is having a good balance. I liked it.

anyways, i have a lot more interviews to come, but i will keep USF in my mind for.

Congrats! I'm at USF but in the Emergency Medicine program. If you have any questions, let me know. I'm a PGY-2 but I've done total 5 months of "Internal Medicine" rotations... plus I am always seeing IM residents when I'm in the ED (calling them down for consults or admissions).

Congrats on the interview.
