I received my first interview invite today from Indiana University! I figured this was pretty early so i'm stoked. I got a list of dates of when I could schedule. One option was a 1/2 day interview and the other is a 2 day deal, anybody with experience know if the 2 day is worth it? The packet was huge that I got in the mail. I just relized that tuition is over $40,000 for out-of staters and just $18,000 for in state. Anybody know if residency can be gained after a certain amount of time?

Congratulations on the interview. Dr. Kasberg is a great guy and the interview will be probably one of the most laid back you will experience. I did the 2 day interview with PBL. The PBL is to introduce you the student to Problem Based Learning, a major component of IU's curriculum. The good thing is that they pay you $100.00 for your time, because your experiences are essentially teaching the faculty how to run a PBL class. Anyway, I wasn't too set on PBL and that is why I didn't go to IU. Indy is a great small city. I am from Chicago so Indy was small but nice. If I didn't like Boston so much I would of went there. I think residency can be gained after the 1st year but I would assume that you have to provide some good proof. That is the rumor I heard and I would inquire at the dental school about the facts. Good luck on the rest of your interviews and good luck with the acceptances. I sure miss ASU but I will be back to AZ as quick as possible. Anyway, if you have any questions feel free to email me.

Kha, what up dog? Love ya!

ASU, IU dental students study hard and party harder. 😀

D school has been awesome so far. Indy is a great place to be. 95% of the students are friendly and very chill. You'll be great in the interview cuz the interviewers are nice and welcoming. G'luck 😛
