First interview invites -Feb. and Mar.

I'm in the same boat as you. I just received my first invite (after 5 rejections) from AZCOM. The only dates available are the first full week of March. Is that normal? Does that mean they are trying to fill up their waitlist? I don't really want to pay money for travel if they know they are already full. Is there any way we can find out which schools have already filled their classes and just interviewing for their waitlist?

Did you receive the invite today? when were your files complete? I have been complete for about 3 weeks now and the admissions office said they haven't received it back from the adcom yet. I guess February isn't an option now? 🙁 Anyone else got their invite from AZCOM yet?

I picked the 5th because I wanted the earliest possible date. I have been complete for like 2-3 weeks. My stats are pretty average, 25N 3.6. I hope they are not just filling up their waitlist. Oh well, I am going to end up going either way. I have heard great things about AZCOM

I don't know if it makes you feel any better, but when I spoke with admissions at AZCOM last week, they told me they were done with interviews for December and weren't doing any in January. So, even though February/March seems late, those dates are a little more reasonable if you bear the extended break in mind. Good luck!

I interviewed at LECOM-B last February and 7 of the 13 people on that day received acceptances. Six of those are first-years here now.

No, they aren't. Most schools have a closely pre-determined amount of people that they will accept every month that they interview. Other acceptable people will be put on a waiting list. Most of those schools who interview all the way until April will save spots for good applicants until April. It only makes sense. You don't want to give away all of your spots because some really good applicants might apply late. It happens every year.

I've been complete since around mid to late September and just received the invite today. So, 3 or 4 weeks is not a long wait. I'm looking forward to the interview. Hope we all get accepted! I know we've all earned it. 🙂
