Okay, so its only one - Wright State - but it feels like a HUGE weight has been lifted off my shoulders. Makes me kinda think I'm gonna get through this and have a spot in EM.

Best of luck all!

Congratulations. It is indeed a GREAT feeling to get an interview invite. Actually, all the interview invites feel great to get, but I agree, the first one is probably the best. Strong work! Keep us informed, and keep the SDN "interview season" strong this year, we need to get our posts up above those damn pathologists....

Congrats from the lota man!!! how complete was your app when you sent it in?

I would congratulate you if I wasn't too jealous to speak right now 🙂
hehehe Way to go dude! I hope to be posting the same soon. If my darn LORs would just get scanned in!!!!!!!!

Thanks everyone for the positive feedback. And Quinn, I'll do everything I can to post pad for the next few weeks. 😀 Just remember that if/when I come down to Tampa for my interview. 😎

Lota, I submitted my ERAS on September 1, and everything had been scanned in except for my transcripts, and one letter of recommendation from Christiana. Other than that, though, it was all finished, and they said that even though it wasn't complete, it looked good (that sounds like a good sign).

Anyway, best of luck everyone in getting the ERAS in, and I hope plenty of interviews to go around.

Congrats to everyone getting their interviews.

For everyone that hasn't submitted, I recommend submitting as soon as possible. Don't worry if it is not all complete, just get your applications out there so you can get the early invites.

Have fun, and keep us all updated light Quinn stated.

oh yeah, Quinn your education director is coming to my hospital to lecture tomorrow.

I second what pinbor1 wrote. I got 10 interviews with NO personal statement. Don't wait for everything to be in--just get as much online as you can as soon as you can. Good luck to all!

It just feels good, doesn't it? 😀

(More shameless post padding)

Got my 2nd today, now I have to see if I really can see myself in some of these programs. I just don't know how just an interview day will provide me with enough information.

I submitted mine without any letters having been scanned in yet. Just my app and personal statement and released the usmle transcripts.

most programs have downloaded my stuff (fast) and now just the waiting game.

good luck folks

Yeap, the one who starts with an S. I got the chance to meet her, but unfortunately didn't here her speak. I ended up helping out at one of the Katrina shelters doing health screenings. My residents said the lectures were good though.
