Got an interview from UMDNJ today (Jersey)...I actually called them to check the status, then she told me something was mailed, and I was like, "yeah, I'm retaking my DAT soon...I know what its going to be"...then she said I got me an interview...yippie! Thats one down, seven to go...but I am aware that an interview is by all means not an acceptance. Im curious how many out of staters they interview...Florida guy here.

Wow an interview this early in the game? You have a good chance of getting in then. I didn't have any interviews yet, however it is because AADSAS takes forever to send out an application. On the other hand, ADA is fast and they informed me that my DAT scores were sent, just 6 days after me taking my exam. However, I wish I had an interview already ;-(

Wow an interview this early in the game? You have a good chance of getting in then. I didn't have any interviews yet, however it is because AADSAS takes forever to send out an application. On the other hand, ADA is fast and they informed me that my DAT scores were sent, just 6 days after me taking my exam. However, I wish I had an interview already ;-(

How did you find out that they sent your DAT scores 6 days after the exam? I emailed the ADA about it just now - is that how you found out?

Hi Rich,
Your DATs are much better than mine, I was quite surprised to get the interview actually...I'm sure you will get one at UMDNJ. Is your GPA high too? I know UMDNJ is a school that really stresses the overall application, as does UPENN and Columbia also (which is definitely good for me...crappy standardized test taker). Are you from New Jersey...Newark doesn't look so bad afterall...I'll just pack my glock, lol.

Heyyy congrats on the interview! just curious though, how long after were you notified of your interview after you sent in your DATs?

May I ask when was your application sent to the schools? I haven't heard anything from out state yet.

I applied early, right when the application went up...then again, I've only officially heard from UMDNJ...UF has put my app on hold until a better DAT. I think UMDNJ considers a more broader spectrum of qualifications than UF, not just scores like alot of schools. UF is big on numbers, but so are alot of schools. I'd love to go to both, congrats on your UF and Nova interviews, I applied to both and have only gotten a supplemental from Nova. Called all schools today and was told my app was under review at Nova.

I applied early too, but AADSAS lost one of my transcripts, so my application was actually mailed out at the end of July. I guess I do get the interviews because of the numbers, but that kinda makes me worried about having nothing to say on the interviews since I don't have much other than the grades.

Well, you too have great GPAs, so it's just a matter of time. Good luck on your nxt DAT and all the coming interviews 🙂
