I just received the final, official draft of my first peer-reviewed publication (not first author), to be published soon (online format, so it's a quick turnaround). Considering it's been an otherwise exhausting, somewhat frustrating week research-wise, it was quite a nice pick-me-up.🙂

PS. No arrogance intended at all--trust me, I'm very much aware that the app process will still be a very, very steep uphill battle for me (as it is for most everyone, I would imagine)!

Congrats! That's great, especially for an undergrad. 😀

Congrats! Always nice to have a pick-me-up in this process😀

still waiting for the first two of them to arrive in pdf/printed form... funny how both of them went to press at the same time! i really hope there's no snags along the way.

Reviving this thread years later to report that I now have 20 peer-reviewed publications (21, if you count an acceptance with minor revisions)! 😀 There's been a lot of disappointment mixed in there, of course (including a couple of times when a manuscript was rejected from one journal only to be later accepted by an equal or better one)--I guess you just have not let disappointing decisions get you down, though that's easier said than done.

20 pubs in four years is solid work...nice job!

Nice job!

It still amazes me how some publications just seem to materialize in a few weeks while others it feels like you are negotiating World Peace, so it takes months before sections are even divided up and written.
