Any advice for doing a root canal for the first time?

#8 very extensive MLF decay, will encounter the pulp upon caries removal

Thanks in advance!

Radiographically, the decay extends into the pulp space. And yes the tooth tested vital via cold testing. I also used the EPT and the value was 65.
The radiograph you are looking at is a two dimensional image so you can’t know the decay is into the pulp just based off the image. What are the symptoms?
