In a nutshell: NYMC said that they're only accepting applications for 2011 (PGY-2 spots). So thanks for your application...but try next year after you've completed your prelim haha

Anyone else know of other PMR programs that are doing this also?

I don't get it. Most of the programs we're applying to are for PGY-2 in 2012, right? I never heard of a program taking this approach - doesn't seem like a good one b/c all the candidates will have already matched elsewhere. Can anyone explain this?

You're correct. We are applying for PGY2 spots for 2012 and I believe that's the case for every other program other than NYMC lol

Sorry to hear that you guys are having some problems. I remember interviewing myself and running into these kinds of problems.

Just so you know, the AAPM&R just posted "A Step-by-Step Guide to Applying to a PM&R Residency"
I hope that this helps demystify or helps you think about some stuff on the interview trail.

Also, remember to start an interview review trail for others as we have done for you!

Best of luck!
