Does anyone know what is considered "first round" interviews? I'm asking primarily about the Texas schools.

I just found out that TMDSAS has yet to send my letters of recommendation to Baylor & UT-Houston, both of whom have told me that they won't send my app to the admissions committee until they have received them. TMDSAS is telling me they will be sent on Friday.

Would a September interview still be considered "first round" or does it just depend on the individual school?

Yes it would be. Applicants are consider first rounder a week before or maybe two weeks before december. In december they will send out acceptance letters to applicants. Those people who are accepted during this time are consider first round applicant. You then have 3 weeks to accepts or reject there offer. Some of these students will reject offers from the dental schools. Therefore, the dental school must send out another round of acceptance letters in janurary. This is called second round applicants. And dental school keep on doing this until all seats are filled. Hopefully, this clarify everything.
