I need hope. I feel like i'm not going to make it into medical school or achieve any of my goals with the following grades 🙁

Bio (anticipated) 3.3 B+
chem 3.0 B
calc 2.7 B- (not expected at all)
writing 3.0 B

I haven't received my bio grades yet so at the moment i have a 2.91 which would only bump to a 3.10 if I do get that B+ in bio.
any suggestions? medicine is something i've always wanted to do, any advice?

There's multiple threads on this very topic/situation on the first page made by people who are in your given situation.

My first semester grades were really similar. Flash forward 5 years, I've been accepted to several medical schools.

Don't let this get you down! You can definitely still pursue med school. It is really common for people to have difficulty with academics during first semester freshman year and the adcoms know that. Let this be motivation for you to rock the rest of you college career. Adcoms look for an upward trend in gpa. Take some upper level science courses and demonstrate that you can excel in them.

no Cs so that is good. But obviously this is not ideal. Just make good grades here on out and you will be fine. Sorry you have to deal with +/-. Just gonna have to work extra hard to make some strait A to compensate and you will be well on your way. Don't stress it. Upward trend ftw.

ugh can we have that FAQ made by serenade or whomever it was stickied, this is getting ridiculous

sorry for posting this thread, but now to a more specific question should I retake calculus I? or move on with calc II? .did any of you retake a course like in my situation? thanks.
