Hi,
I am wondering if I will be competitive for the Fall '10 cycle if I apply now (or am I too late for this year?)

My stats are: 3.8cum GPA, 3.6sci GPA, and an 18 on the DAT. I am looking to apply to Temple, Barry, NYCPM, and AzPOD.

Any insight is appreciated. Thanks!

Hi there! I can only comment about AZPod, but while your GPA is very competetive, we don't accept the DAT, so you would have to take the MCAT. You are not too late to apply, but if you are going to need to sign up for, study for, and take the MCAT, it might push you back for time, so I would get on that as soon as possible. I am not sure which schools do or do not accept the DAT, but they are getting fewer and fewer. Welcome to the forum and good luck!🙂

I don't think you are too late. I submitted last week, my gpa was verified yesterday, and I was already invited for an interview. You can only apply to NYCPM,Temple, and Barry with the DAT.

If you dont mind Dental Jarry, how was ur gpa since you got an interview even though you applied late

You'll be fine. Just apply now. A couple years ago I was able to interview without an MCAT score and they gave me conditional acceptances until I took the MCAT. Don't know if they do that anymore. Just give each school a call. Your GPA is way above the average. Have fun.

They still give out conditional acceptances, you just have to meet their specific minimum MCAT score and you'll be good to go.
