Hello everyone, I must leave for work (@ CVS) here in a few moments, but I just wanted to ask what kind of sections should I truly focus on to yield a high science score. I have the Kaplan book (which I've look over) and the AudioLearn PCAT mp3s. I've rigorously played the AudioLearn tapes over and over, and I plan to seriously memorize as much of the Biology that I can possibly learn. I want the highest Bio and Chem score possible, BECAUSE I plan on taking it again in either June or October of this year.
Regardless, if anyone says it is impossible to retain and or cram that much info in the next few days it is not. I am the ultimate procrastinator. I would just like a few pointers on what seems to be covered more often (or if this breaks the rules then nevermind) or just what seemed to help everyone else in their preparation. Lots of late nights and coffee for me, but I really LOVE the material and am very seriously motivated. Enough so that, each day after this test I will spend at LEAST 3 hours devoting myself to memorizing everything the Kaplan and Audiolearn pieces have to offer. Also, combined with (for the next time) the Learning Words by their Roots and Top 200 GRE Words plus a healthy regimen of reading science journals similar to those that I will be given on this test on Saturday.

THanks for ANY help given, and I hope everyone has a great day and scores real well on the PCAT ( well... not higher then me! 😛) lol

You need a good score in every section, not just the science stuff. Therefore, in my opinion you need to "crammorize" verbal, reading, biology, chemistry, quantitative, and writing. :scared:

Good luck. 😎

Two words: practice tests.

Memorizing is good, because I think the PCAT is a knowledge based test, but there is no substitute for taking full length exams.

Thanks for all the quick replies.. VERY APPRECIATED.. As for the cramming everything, I don't think I'm going to study much on anything not concerning BIO, Chem, and practice problems w/ Math to ensure speed w/o the use of a calculator. I'm prolly just gonna get as much Bio (i've only taken microorganisms (didn't take it too seriously), and anatomy (did very well)).. i'm gonna cram every second of everyday until the test date

.. basically creating mnemonics for .. reviewing each and every day what i learned the previous days..

as for the verbal ability.. i will attempt to memorize the GRE top 200 and maybe the words roots..

writing isn't a problem at the moment

it's just that right now w/ a quasi-low science GPA I want to prove that I am capable of doing well in the science portions

that and I definately plan to fine-tune each portion by the June or October test (most likely June) to be completely ready to *hopefully* ace this BAMF!

[Question] How well would the medical terminology Audio Learn book help out?

cram, cram, cram. no good. I found out the hard way. My GPA is low too. I'd spend every day working on studying so that it does not become too much stress later on, although I'd do fun things now and then in between to keep your mind clear.
