Hi there,
I am new to this forum and this is my first time writing the DAT. I have found lots of useful information on here and I'm glad!
My DAT is scheduled for September 2nd but I am still so lost as to how to study. I keep searching around and there's so many resources one can use and it feels that mine are lacking! I recently also got a full time job and will be working Mon-Fri 9-5, need to pay the bills! Taking time off work is not an option unfortunately 🙁.
My current resources:
- Kaplan Blue Book
- Cliff's AP Bio
- Feralis Notes
- DAT Destroyer/Math Destroyer
- Thinking about getting Chad's Videos for OChem/GChem/QR
- Also thinking about buying the DAT Bootcamp
I have started studying last week and this is what I do currently:
(1) Go over one chapter of bio for cliff's and KBB, do practice in Cliff's
(2) Go over one chapter of ochem/gchem for KBB
(3) Go over one chapter of QR in KBB
(4) Read a scientific article for RC practice
I plan to do this until I finish reviewing all the material (hopefully in 4-5 weeks), and then I will start the destroyer and bootcamp! I will repeatedly do those until I am good at them!
What do you guys think about my study routine at the moment? Please critique it. Also do you think it is doable if I study after work (7pm-12am; ~5 hrs/). This would put me at 5 hrs/day Mon-Fri, and I can do more intense studying on the weekend and take time off. Also do I have too many resources for Bio? Should I just take out the KBB altogether? I feel that it gives a good overview of the things that will be on the DAT while the Cliff's book is not geared toward the DAT.
Thanks
