Hi, I as well will be taking the PCAT this Saturday. Friends that have taken the PCAT say, review/study before you take the test. Like a teacher once told me
dont go to war without your bullets.😉
I have been hitting the books for the past three months, I sure hope it pays off.
Good Luck to you and everyone else taking the PCAT this Saturday! 👍

Hi
Me too. I am new to this forum and taking the test on Saturday. I am not prepared so I will choose the no score option. Does anyone have any suggestions for no score option.
Good luck everyone.

As far as choosing the no score option, I would suggest waiting until after you finish the test, you could choose that option last minute right before handing in the test. I suggest doing that only if you KNOW FOR CERTIAN that you bombed it. Even if you get like a 50 or a 60, you can always retake it, and MOST schools will only look at your best score.
I reccommend for everyone to bring in a digital watch, but just make sure it's one that doesn't beep or have an alarm set. It is really helpful to have a timer to look at while taking the test, because the proctors usually only tell you when there is 5 minutes left or something like that.

does choosing no score option tell you the score you receive but the schools won't know right?

If you find that the digital watch is too risky, then buy an analog watch, set it to 12:00, and activate it when the section starts. So, a 45 minute section would end when the minute arms hits 45. This sounds elementary school-like, but it was effective for me who didn't want to risk a sudden beeping during the exam.😉

It means that you won't really know either because the test has been voided. Basically, your score sheet becomes trash.
Good luck to all Saturday. I have been studying my butt off for several months. Coming down to the last week, I have been getting little sleep (not necessarily studying but from nerves). On the other hand, I want to be a Rx so badly it'll be hard to recover if I tank. 🙄

Don't forget to relax the day before. There's no point in cramming the Friday before. Just go have a nice relaxing jog in the park, eat your favorite foods (lightly of course), watch a movie, and sleep early. Saturday give you enough stress to give you ulcers for like three weeks (except now we know of course that bacteria causes ulcers). But anyway, don't study your brains out on Friday; you'll find yourself draining yourself of the mental energy you need on Saturday.
When I took the exam, I put myself on a entire pre-test week sleep and diet regimen. It's very procedural, but it works for me. I've been doing it for every standardized exam I've ever taken (and i've taken a lot) so I swear by it =) But the most important thing is to relax and focus on your confidence. Prep your testing materials (ID, admissions card, signatures, pencils, pens) a few days before hand and have someone double check it just in case. You don't want to have a panic attack Saturday morning.
And you won't tank. If you've been working hard and have been studying how to take the test (not the knowledge), then you'll know how to do well. Good luck on Saturday =)
