I just took the first 50 questions of UW and got 63% correct. I dont know what the hell that means.. because this would be failing if I'm in class.

I've just finnished my 2nd year courses, so I should have things fresh in my mind, but there were some questions where i was like ... WTF :meanie:

Most of them are things I've never heard of.. drugs, side effects, weird anatomy questions?

I have one month to study starting from today, and I haven't started studying yet beside the occasional glance at the BRS physiology book throughout the year. Can someone wise out there give me some advice? thanks..

That's actually a pretty good score for UW (my average is about 48% correct right now, in comparison!). The point is to use it to try to learn (I have been using it in tutor mode) rather than to try to use it to judge where you stand.

thanks for the reply peppy. I took it in examination mode. Frankly, I hate reading though these explanations and only look at the ones I get wrong.

Do you know what a score of 63% translate to about? This is only my first test and I'm sure as I take more, a more accurate average will show up. thanks.

Check out the stickies for some study guides. And don't read too much into one block of 50 questions. Shell out $45 and take an NBME form if you want to know where you stand.

Just compare your score to the global average % that they show you. If you got a 63% and the average score of other UWorld subscribers is less than 63%, then you're doing really well.

it says the average score was 48%. I find it hard to believe that the average UW score is 48%, considering that everyone talking about their goal being 70%+ is this a mistake?
