first year deferrment

Hello guys,
Does anyone know if PCOM (or DO schools in general) has a first year deferrment program.. do you know if they allow it only in emergencies, or are they pretty easy on student's reasons? Do you know if you are actually garanteed next year's acceptance? Do you have to go through reapplication process and interview?
