Is there any student loan out there that has a fixed interest rate?

The Federal Perkins loans (for undergraduate and graduate school only...not medical or dental school) is a fixed 5 percent and is based on need.

You may be able to find some private loans that are fixed but the interest rate will likely be quite high...another option that some people use are 2nd mortgages on a home which can be a fixed or variable rate.
