Ok, yes I know its a little soon for me to worry about it, but from my understanding it is a major pain in the a$$

So since I have 4 years to prep for it, figured the sooner I start the better. Sure at this point in time I probably lack 99% of the info and skills I need to pass it, but can someone give me some direction as to what I should be concentrating on or aim to achieve in my dental education to pass this Beast???

Thanks

I second that; I have heard plenty about the cruel and infamously notorious FL board. I am in Minnesota, but would like to move there and take the board in two yrs. I have heard that there are services which provide the patient for you for a fee?

The word on the street about the Florida board is that the major factor in determining your success or failure has more to do with your address than your skills. I.E. if you have a Florida address, you have a better chance than if you have a non-Florida address.

Who knows though with the way the licensure reform if heading, it all may be very well a national licensening exam before too long.

Well then I hope that is true bec I am keeping my FL addy for the next 4 years. I do not plan on giving up my resident status for the state since I want to go back. Plus I think the FL Drivers License looks better than the Jersey one

As for the national license exam, that would be nice, but knowing FL they still will be a pain in the rear and have some catch.

Yeah I heard a story about how things used to be at one state licensing exam. The locals would show up with the school logo on their instruements and would get prepped by the examiners on what they were in for. The outsiders would get hit cold turkey. However, I understand that the situation has gotten more fair since that day.
