That's a highly specific and somewhat strange set of requirements for sure.

So you want a top medical student and resident who hasn't worked in academics, but has worked for years in a taxing, safety net hospital, presumably wants to go work at another taxing, safety net hospital, and has some ties to mid-central east coast of Florida? Ok

I'm sure they'll still get 100+ applications, so they're either being very picky or the job has serious issues.

Probably looking to avoid turnover at the position.

Daytona isn't Tampa, or Miami, or Orlando fwiw. For some that's a plus, for the majority, I am guessing it isn't esp if you are a single young professional.

And they probably don't want a mid-career academician who's only been treating breast, skin and palliative cases for years to come in and get overwhelmed by a full spectrum hospital based practice where everyone treats all disease sites including special procedures like sbrt, radiopharm, gu/gyn brachy etc.

At our recent ACR re - accreditation site visit, the academic RO site inspector point blank said she couldn't go back to full spectrum practice after treating only cns/peds for the last several years at a major academic center, and I've heard that's the opinion from multiple folks who work at academic motherships where physicians practice 1-3 disease sites at most.

Well trained in reputable undergrad medical programs?

They have a guy who did medical school in the dominican republic, is that considered reputable?

Very odd set of requirements, agree with Neuronix. Could've just said "Applicants must be comfortable treating a wide spectrum of disease sites" to come off less douchey.
