After reading great reviews about this app
I decided to purchase it on my IOS device couple of days ago
From my very limited experience I found out that

1. You can make your own flashcards
2. Download flashcards/quizzes for test prep books
3. You CAN TAKE SAMPLE TESTS (read questions, think in your head, and flip to see if your answer is correct)

You can study chapters (kbb, cliffs AP bio etc..) and while your exercising or working (althought you shouldn't really do it lol) you can flip through the flashcards
You can take screenshots of the cards that you weren't able to answer and review them at home

I thought this app is great and wanted to share with you guys
It only costs $2.99

But like I said I only used this app for 3 days lol

BTW I wouldn't study with this though... but it's a great review tool!

For those of you who used this app and have taken the DAT, did this app help you?

there is also study blue out there....anyone want to give us some tips on these things out there?

thx

I'm using studydroid because you can make the flashcards on your computer (with pictures if you want) and then study them on your mobile device.

StudyBlue is by far the way to go. It's free and you can use it anywhere (mobile or computer) and it works just as great on the computer. Also, a great feature of StudyBlue is a search option. Just by searching (DAT, DAT chemistry, even MCAT biology) I have found hundreds of flashcards from other users who have already taken the DAT/MCAT.

thank you guys
i just realized study blue does exactly the samething but it's free...
i'm definitely going to try it

any tip on how to use it efficiently? 🙂

Ok, I take back my previous StudyDroid suggestion. I have now found the program that I intend to get me through dental school. It's called Anki, and they have a desktop client where it is so easy to make the cards, and a mobile and Web application. The program is specifically designed to help you remember things, so it only introduces so many new cards to you a day, and it reviews so many of the cards based on how easy/hard you rank them. You should definitely give it a try!
