Hello,
I'm currently only a Freshman, but I just wanted to see if it looks like I will realistically have a chance at getting into the FlexMed program.

I know they look at high school records, which worries me because I don't have the most impressive high school transcript. (Including this because I will probably mention this in an essay when applying) I had a brain injury in 8th grade which really messed up high school for me because it took several years for me to recover. I got about a 3.5 gpa, but until my senior year I was mostly taking really easy classes, and I think my highest ACT was a 27.

During my senior year of high school I took three college classes (psychology, sociology, and nutrition throughout the lifecycle) and got a 4.0 with those. I also got a 4.0 my first semester of college taking general chemistry 1, assessment of nutritional status, english comp 1, college algebra, foundations of public health, and a freshman seminar. I'm pretty confident that I'll be able to continue getting a high GPA in the next couple semesters before I apply.

For ECs I'm in three clubs (with leadership positions in two), I volunteer at a hospital, and I work in the humanities department of my school. I'm also going to start teaching CPR classes at high schools with a doctor and medical school professor pretty soon (not sure if this counts).
It also seems like most people in the flexmed program are from prestigious/well known colleges. I go to a small LAC that is not highly ranked or well known at all.

So basically, I'm worried about my average high school record and current college keeping me from being a competitive applicant. If I continue getting good grades and doing a lot of ECs would it still be possible for me to get in?

FlexMed focuses on what you would do if you didn't have to do two years of premed worrying about MCAt and getting into Med School. If I were you, I'd ask why you want to join FlexMed and what you would do with that time.

From my limited knowledge of the program, I would say that your chances are extremely low (i.e. close to zero) unless there is something extraordinary about your background that you haven't told us (e.g. started a company, wrote a book). Your ACT score essentially bars you from admission on its own.
