Florida School Feedback?

I'm a Florida resident and applied to a lot of out of state schools..I have heard back from almost all of them. However, I applied to FGCU and USF and haven't heard anything other than they got my application in the fall.

Any word yet from others? I also applied to FIU...right before the deadline though, and I understand they had already been interviewing.

Why can't they all make interviews and offers of admission in the same time frame so we can all make educated decisions?!!

From what i've seen on other boards it seems that UF has already sent out acceptances. UCF had their last day of interviews today so I'm assuming they'll be sending out acceptances soon. UNF is doing their interviews next month. I'm not sure about USF or FGCU when it comes to time of decisions, but it should be sooner than later. Patience is the key according to everyone. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply! I messed up with the observation hours for UF...so I just mentally "tossed" that one away! Haha 🙂 I already had to put a deposit down on UT - Chattanooga a while ago, but checking to see what options I have in-state!

Are you planning on going to UTC?

I don't mean to prod. I'm just an anxious waitlister lol.

Oh gosh! Don't worry about prodding here..I was wait-listed at UTC for a bit as well so I know the feeling! I think there were about 20 on the wait list from what I gathered from their stats. I'm in a bit of a difficult situation since I'm trying to coordinate a job transfer with a spouse as well.... However, a lead for him just opened up in Chattanooga so it looks like I will get to go to UTC! Are you going to try to re-take the GRE? That was my plan since my scores were kinda average. So stressful!

I got a 320 on the GRE and a 3.96 GPA so my scores aren't a problem. Unfortunately I was waiting for months for my physical therapist to verify my observation hours and write my final reccomendation letter, so my application was considered incomplete for a while, so by that point Belmont and UTC had filled up all of their spots and I was wait listed.

It's frustrating, since I was waitlisted for that fact yet I had the scores to go anwhere I wanted. Luckily I figure with my scores I should be number one on the wait list for both schools, so it is just a matter of waiting and praying for a spot to open up. I'm starting to lose hope, but I know some schools are later to make application decisions like some schools in Florida, so I hope it is not too long of a wait.

Wow! Good job on the GRE! I just took it 1 time and was mediocre at best...lol 149 V / 151 Q. That must be frustrating, but keep your fingers crossed because I've heard some schools will be getting in touch even as late as March. Maybe some people will drop from UTC if other schools they like accept them. Since they only look at stats and numbers, you should be way up on that list!

Thanks! My fingers are definitely crossed right now lol. With some Florida and Kentucky schools making recent decisions, I'm hoping just one person will decide to stay in state to stay closer to home and given how expensive it can be to go out of state, especially for Belmont and the cost to go there over a state school.

Has anyone heard from FIU recently about the March 1 interview date? How about FGCU? Has anyone gotten any word from them? I thought it was supposed to be by the end of January or mid February.
