Hello all,

Thank you for taking the time to read my post. I was wondering if anyone practices in, or knows a good deal about, practicing FM in New England in an urban or suburban area.

I would like to one day like to live in the Northeast- generally close to an urban area. I grew up in the suburbs of Connecticut, my family is here, and I'd want to stay relatively close to them in an area that is reasonably well populated.

However, growing up I saw a Pediatrician, and now see an Internist. I've never heard of or seen a FM practitioner in the area. Even on the net, all I could find in my area is a local clinic affiliated with a nearby family residency program.

Do FM practitioners have a strong presence (outside of clinics) in the cities of the Northeast- when Peds, IM, and all of IM's subspecialties are omnipresent? Or, in urban/suburban areas, they're generally confined to clinics...

I've caught the drift that medicine, and especially FM is highly regional- as a result, I'd like some insight on FM's place in non-rural areas of New England.

Any help is greatly appreciated, thank you.
