FM in US to Practise in Canada

I have heard from some students in Canada/US/Caribbean/Ireland that after doing a FM residency in US (3 years) it is quite easy to transfer and practice in Canada after giving the board exams since the Fm residency in states is 3 years compared to 2 in Canada. I just wanted to confirm if this is true and that if if there were any students out there who have gone through this process. If this is true Are there any other residencies performed in US recognized by Canada? Anyone with any info please do reply.

All residencies should be recognized, but the length of time will be the critical factor.

You need to contact each respective province for details.

You should also take all Canadian boards while taking the USMLE exams just to be safe.
