So, after interviews, I've usually written thank you letters, but that's it. I've heard other people talking about calling the schools to "check in," but I always thought you were kind of pestering the school until I heard someone say that that's another way to show you're interested and increase your chances. So, my questions are:
Does it help your chances if you call?
Who do you call, and what do you say?
If you write thank-you letters, do you go out of your way during the interview to get contact information for your interviewers, or just write down their name and hope you can find something online?

I wrote thank you letters aswell and if i couldnt find any address info online I just sent it to the admissions office and put attention interviewer... As for calls I was told by a couple of dental school students while I was at my interview that a few weeks after they interviewed they called just to make sure there was anything else they could be doing while they were waiting and also to reinforce how much you want to attend that dental school. "fix the squeaky wheel first" actually a quote I got from a student. I called the admission dean at the schools I interviewed at just to do the above and see when i might be able to know something. He chatted with me, went over some of my stats, and told me the day the committee meets and for me to call him the day after.. Im guessing thats not a bad thing....
