what kind of food did you eat on brake? do you think i will have time for a sandwich? hahaha.

also, on some of the practice tests you can skip around to different questions from the begining...but others you have to wait until the end. which one is more like the test because i want to go from bio to orgo but i dont want to waste time pressing skip 30 times during chem.

Yea you can eat a sandwich. I had gatorade and some Mcdonalds chicken nuggets and fries. I forgot how the test was but I think you would have to skip 30 times and you can only jump around once you reach the end of the test. I may be wrong

You get like a 15 min break in there, so whatever you can stuff down in that amount of time is game. I never ate anything because I was afraid it would make me sleepy.

i made a little PB and J.... it was a good idea.... its a long time with no food

ppl eat during the brake?!?

i had a bowl of wheaties before the test, how cliche.

That sounds like a good one. Decent amount of protein with PB, some low GI carbs from whole wheat bread, and a small dose of sugar form the jelly.

I just drank a bit of Gatorade right before going in and during the break. My concentration is a peak levels if I'm on an empty stomach, so I don't know about bringing an entire lunch or anything like that and inhaling it during the short break. Just make sure you eat a hearty breakfast in the morning and you'll be fine.

I had some orange gatorade (a drink with sugar for energy and electrolytes so you don't need to pee later) and some smore-style granola bars. It held me over and didn't make me feel sleepy, thankfully. Don't drink water!

The order of the DAT questions and the computer interface looks just like the Kaplan practice tests. If my memory is correct, you have to click through each question to move ahead, and you have the option to "mark" as many questions as you like to review later. It is easy to go back to earlier problems once you made it to the end of the science section.

The order is Bio - Gen Chem - Orgo. Once the science section is over, PAT starts. Once PAT starts, you cannot go back to the science section.

You will get I think a 15 min break after the PAT section. In Chicago, they will give you a locker before the test, so you can bring what ever you want to eat. Just remember that you will still have another two hours of testing without any breaks.

I ate half a roast beef sandwich during break! And some M&Ms and some Gatorade. I also skipped Gen chem after Biology and went right to O Chem. It really doesnt take a whole lot of time to skip 30 questions. I'd say 25 seconds max. I did that cuz I felt GChem was my weaker subject. It turned out fine, I still had extra time to review my other marked problems.
