My wife and I have discussed this a little bit and wanted to get a outside opinion. For the interview should I go clean shaven or a well trimmed beard (close trim). I understand most interviews you want to go with clean shaven, but I look like a little kid with a little beard.

What is your opinion?

Trimmed-beard! I would also suggest rubbing in some beard oil on the morning of your interview(s).

Depends on how the beard looks. But to be honest, why chance it? Go clean shaven. Some people have quirks against beards in interviews. Nobody has quirks against being clean shaven. Again, why chance it?

Also, no man buns. The amount of guys coming into interviews with that silly man bun style is ridiculous. It's like the mullet of our generation.

Whether you like it or not, long beards and pony-tails on men are socially considered "dirty" in the professional or business sector. That psychology will never change, and it just doesn't look good. Do yourself a favor and look clean.

I look like I'm 12 years old regardless, but I still shaved the morning of my interviews.

My opinion for your situation, though, is to go with what you are most confident.
