for all the future students at Barry, i was just wondering when everyone is moving down there? i know orientation is on the 23rd of august. any ideas? i would really like to meet most if not all of ya'll before school starts. let me know.

I just sent in my $500 deposit check to reserve a single in the grad housing apartments, so I'll be moving there! I think I'm moving in the 21st or 22nd, depending on what date they say. I was gonna live in Aventura at first in an apartments with two other girls, but I thought against it, since I don't know the area and I don't really know anyone much yet. How about yourself?

no one really i think i'll be there around the 20th or so. it will give me a couple of days before orientation to see the city.

I'll be flying down there the end of July or beginning of August to secure an apartment, then back down again a week before orientation begins. Not looking forward to the 24 hour drive down though...

i had been planning on leaving louisiana on the 18th of august but i was told that one week before school started would not be enough time to get situated. any ideas anyone?

I think you'll be fine. I'm going into grad lounging and they're not even letting us in the dorm rooms until the 21st or 22nd. I mean, if you think about it, most colleges have their freshman move into a week before too- a week prior to the first day of classes will probably be enough time.
