For Current Columbia Students...

I am ecstatic that I will be attending Columbia University this fall, however, I need much help from those already there please...My main concern as of this moment is where to live...I've lived in Cali my whole life...Where do you suggest is the best location to live...Should I apply for the dorms (UAH i believe it is), or should I live near campus in an apartment...I just have two requirements: 1. I live alone in a studio and 2. I really want to be near campus. Hopefully money won't be an issue, my parents should be able to cover the rest of my rent (whatever my loan doesn't cover). So, please help me out! Thank You!
