If it was medically related I don't see why not.

I included a job that I had in high chool and continued throughout college.
If it is a job that you had only in high school, I think you should leave it out. Stick with activites and jobs from college.

If its medically related or a type of community service yeah, but if its like bagging groceries heck no

i would be wary of including anything from high school even if it was medically related. alot of students including myself have done hospital volunteer work during highschool (for requirements or what not) but i dont think you necessarily include that in your app unless stated otherwise. (i think msucom's secondary wanted everything from high school). in general, your activities you list are assumed to be done after your high school years.

wannabeortho, if i remember correctly arent you just getting ready to start college? so you have 4 years to find all sorts of ec's, employment etc. cbenedic seems right on the money since some students have done some volunteering for years, just use info post-hs graduation

what about volunteer activities and jobs while in college if that was more than 6 years ago. i was told to only list things within the last five years, but that excludes many hours of community service and a full time job working in a hospital while an undergrad. any opinions on this.

i also graduated college more than 5years ago, i would still include the hospital coummunity service as it shows your commitment for many yrs throughout your college career
