For how long after the incident are MRI/CT's diagnostic for head injuries and in particular subdural hematomas?

Would an MRI of the head show signs of a previous subdural many years past if the subdural resolved without intervention?

As you may have read, boxer Joe Mesi is refusing to provide copies of his MRI's to the boxing commission. If he were to get another MRI now, would there be any trace of his previous bleed?

What do they care. If he wants to kill himself, why not ?

I'm more interested in the question answered broadly, not Mesi's specific case.
