obviously very few if any med school students work while going to med school. so what kind of loans or other sources (hopefully low interest ones) can you get so you have loot to pay for rent, utilities, groceries, and for entertainment???

I know for me some of those will be satisified by what i like to call the "family loan" ie, hitting up relatively wealthy members of my extended family by using the "doctor in the family" ploy. 😉

do any schools offer student jobs to med students like they do for undergrads?

Your aid package will be based on a "budget" the med school draws up that includes tuition, room, board, and all those other things you mentioned. Hence, the loans you'll be given will be comprehensive and should cover your entire life while in med school--as you can imagine, this is usually an enormous sum of money. This is how people end up being 200-300K in the hole. Obviously if you can get money from another source, you'll want to do it to minimize how much you're borrowing.

I'm sure they do, but I can't imagine that many people have the time to work during med school. Most people who I have talked to either take out additional loans, or work during the summer and rely on that money during the school year.

The financial aid schools give should cover all expenses. Otherwise, scholarships is the other option outside of private loans. If you decide to go into primary care, or join the military, your tuition will be paid off through these various programs.
