I know CCOM says that you need C- or better on your classes, is that a hard and fast rule? If you have a higher MCAT score do they over look this? I can retake the two classes I have gotten C-'s in but I'd rather just take additional upper level biology... Any advice would really be appreciated!

I would ask the schools you are interested in applying to. If they want to waive it for you they can. But they are the only ones who can tell you.

The minimum grade at CCOM is a C not a C-! From their website: "Complete the following prerequisite courses with a grade of C or above (a grade of C- or below will not be accepted.)"

This is standard at most DO schools (SOMA is one exception I know of). If you have a C- in a prereq, you will recieve a "Conditional Acceptance" pending the completion of the course with a C or better. So if you're in this boat, you need to re-take the course in the Fall/Spring.

Most schools will not waive this requirement under any circumstance. Trust me, I know from personal experience; I started last year's cycle with a C- in Orgo2 and all the school's pointed it out.

Thanks a lot!
