Well, I'm sitting here, cruising SDN, not worried at all about my second test that I have tomorrow.

I have tried but I literally can not force myself to study today. I feel like I'm not getting anything out of reading over the same transcripts for the 4th or 5th time.

I probably should be somewhat worried, but I'm just not. I'm not a genius by any means, I just don't know if it is lack of motivation, burnt out, or I am normally used to cramming so I feel over prepared.

Does anybody else feel like this?

Kinda sounds like you're burnt out. But, if you legitimately feel okay about the test and you aren't just lying to yourself to justify not studying, then I don't see a reason to go stuff a million times.

I'm burnt out at the moment as well... surfing facebook and sdn because I can't bring myself to review developmental anatomy for tomorrow. It's my 6th and final exam of the week. Exhausted.

Also, I didn't study for histology the night before the exam. I just woke up early (exam wasn't until 1pm). This way I felt the familiar pressure from cramming, but really I studied everyday and knew the info. Maybe you could try that.

:scared: That sounds terrible!

I probably am just burnt out, but i do feel okay about the material.

In undergrad I would never go to class and just cram 2-3 days before the exam and do pretty good. So I am not used to actually going to class and studying 4-5 hours every night.

There's so much material I feel like it would almost be pointless to study anything right now.

Ok that statement made me think, you should study tonight. If the material still overwhelms you then you still have stuff to learn to move past the 'recognition' stage. Do half tonight and half in the morning. Do something you like at the same time- go to a coffee shop to study, listen to music, etc. So then it won't seem so bad. Well... I'm off to go figure out the first 8 weeks of life... not too fond of babies right about now....

I guess that came out wrong, there is so much to read that it seems like it would be pointless to review.

I completely feel like this! I feel like I studied so well up until exam week this past week, and then during the actual week I just couldn't do it. Today we finished test 3/4, with only the anatomy practical tomorrow morning. Then freedom!!!!!! For the time being...

Yeah that's exactly how I feel... so how'd the test go?!

I think it might have gone alright... I was talking with some friends and there was some stuff I definitely missed, but there was also a lot that felt easy. I don't know if all schools do it this way, but we have all our subjects together on one test. So three tests, each with stuff from six classes. It felt like a whole new ball game lol. I guess I'll find out next week! How did it go for you? :xf:

Not sure yet... the test is tomorrow 🙄 We find out right when we submit them what our grade is though.

But yeah our tests are exactly the same way - 3 tests, a lot of classes.

I did pretty good on my first one, and I felt the same way (couldn't really study much the actual week of the test) so hopefully I'll be fine :xf:
